about this Item: | A pair of unusual wall lights for vertical or horizontal lighting. The patented pressed glass reflectors create an unusual, glare-free, and even light distribution. Here we show the largest version of these lights, with a body diameter of 26 cm. All lights have been rewired and use an E27 bulb. We currently have two pairs in stock, or four pieces, all in very good, evenly patinated condition. The Gamma wall light was designed by Sergio Mazza in the 1960s and produced by the renowned Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide. Shape: The lamp impresses with its semicircular diffusers made of patented pressed glass, which gently diffuse the light without glare. Material: Nickel-plated brass and glass were used, giving the Gamma light an elegant, glossy appearance. Mounting: Both vertical and horizontal installation are possible, flexible according to individual requirements. Sergio Mazza (1931–), co-founder of Artemide, is known for numerous groundbreaking design contributions. The Gamma light is one of his outstanding works, as is the Delta lamp – awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1960. Artemide is one of the leading brands in Italian and international design, with legendary classics such as the Eclisse, Tizio, and Tolomeo lamps. |
