about this Object:
Seguso Vetri die Arte was one of the large, traditional manufactories in Murano near Venice. SEGUSO's most successful master glassmaker in the 1950s and 1960s was Flavio Poli, who created simple amorphous shapes with multiple layers of colored glass. The smooth outer surfaces of the vases or bowls were usually polished, which gave the glasses a special brilliance and finely represented the layers of color built up in the glass. The vases or bowls often contrast the massive stand with fine and thin mouths or edges.
