Few signs of use. Upholstery velvet is a heavy, dense fabric. In the case of our divan blanket, the pile is made of mercerized cotton that was dyed before weaving and woven with a very dense, strong cotton backing. The mercerization process makes the cotton more durable and gives it a distinct sheen while maintaining a soft feel. Our light brown/dark brown blanket, with its heavily expressionist decoration, appears to be in good condition.

The dense, heavy, and therefore very durable divan blanket with its light brown/ dark brown, strongly expressionistic decor measures an impressive 3 meters long and 145 cm high. Such blankets served as throws or draperies on sofas or as tablecloths for large dining tables in the living room. Our example is still in good condition overall, featuring matte colors and vibrant decor.
