Few signs of use. Upholstery velvet is a heavy, dense fabric. In the case of our divan blanket, the pile is made of wool, decorated in a cubist style, and mirrored horizontally. It is woven with a very dense, strong cotton fabric as a backing. Slight pile loss and small stains are signs of time.

The dense, heavy, and therefore very durable divan blanket, decorated in Cubist style and horizontally mirrored, measures a substantial 3 meters long and 136 cm high. Such blankets served as throws or draperies on sofas or as tablecloths for large dining tables in the living room. Our example is still reasonably well preserved overall and features rich Cubist-style decoration.
