The Studio 1 hi-fi device was intended to meet the growing demands of consumers in terms of sound quality. The STUDIO 1 is the top device of its time at BRAUN; no other device at BRAUN offered a better sound. The front is inclined to make operation easier. The scale is clear and very graphically organized, the controls are arranged according to usage criteria. The housing is made of glass fiber reinforced polyester and has no lid. Large records protrude beyond the casing. Minimizing external dimensions took priority over protection from dust. You could connect a separate loudspeaker; Braun offered the L 3 loudspeaker at the time, a special development that still sets sound standards today. Studio 1 and L 3 were limited to 500 pieces, so it is rare to find well-preserved copies like the one here after almost 70 years. Studio 1 represents a milestone in design development and technical development at Braun. Studio 1 was presented in the German pavilion at the World Exhibition in Brussels in 1958.
