about this Object:
This rare, expressionistically designed candlestick dates back to the early days of the collaboration between the sculptor Karl Tutter and Hutschenreuther in Selb. Exceptionally large and wonderfully preserved, it has been preserved for over 100 years. Coming from a very well-kept household in this city that was so devastated in the World War, this fragile candlestick has, as if by a miracle, been perfectly preserved. Extremely fine and graceful in its design, the lady is shown with a deer, flanked by two vegetable-shaped candlesticks. The turquoise and gold paintwork was applied delicately, so that the fragile shape of the porcelain is the focus.
